The Battlefield Where the Girls Say I Love You

That's just the thing: we will never tell you we love you. In fact, we're here only to hold hands across state lines and yell at the world. We're here to try to touch you across this chasm of flown things. Not even that. At most, I will teach you how to make a gin smoothie when there's nothing left in the house. Hannah can teach you several languages and what to do when your car breaks up with you. Thanks for coming out.

while i love all of you equally...

i love this:

http://stuffwhitepeoplelike.wordpress.com/

more than anything else in the world just now.

i know this doesn't count as a post of my own, but i'm having one of those moments that i used to have in workshop (or, actually, after i watch anyone do anything that i like to do better than i could ever do it, which happens almost every day) and subsequently i swear to never (write a poem/ride a bike/plant a garden/make a martini) again.

this time, i'm rendered totally immobile and post-less by "stuff white people like."

omg. am so ashamed of my last post. nothing compares. (and now i'm hearing that song)

white people are fond of inventing problems like night terrors as the term adds a formality and elegance and seriousness to the v. pedestrian phenomenon of 'bad dream'--this is very typical of the white person who is hypochondriacal and pompous.

you know, i was actually thinking just of my blog posts, which have taken a turn (as if this is new) for the melancholy and/or morbid and/or mundane. (and they are alliterative.) you know i already think y'all are genius bloggers. :)

and i'm wearing my "vintage" t-shirt right now. which came from old navy. which means i do not qualify as an authentic white person. sigh.

also, (the seventeen point sermon comment) you've now replaced, "my mazarati goes 185," (no, i don't remember the real title) with "nothing compares." and i thank you -- mostly.
