The Battlefield Where the Girls Say I Love You

That's just the thing: we will never tell you we love you. In fact, we're here only to hold hands across state lines and yell at the world. We're here to try to touch you across this chasm of flown things. Not even that. At most, I will teach you how to make a gin smoothie when there's nothing left in the house. Hannah can teach you several languages and what to do when your car breaks up with you. Thanks for coming out.

the weekend in pictures

there are no pictures, thank god, of friday night which was soaked in champagne and cognac (never again) or of saturday's recovery, but here's the rest of the weekend--the oyster roast, the kafe haus, the lake. also, mamie, how strange you picked that poem when i have been similarly obsessed with it recently.

several things:

give me kimi's baby! no! give me kimi's baby...

also, there's a mike huckabee ad on our blog. screw you, hannah, and your capitalist inclination. i hope google's cutting you a fat check.

also, ALSO...you do this on purpose. it's like this: everything in my person is telling me to pack a bag and come to wilmington and then, then, this slide show. it's all good-friends-and-cake-and-kan-growing-out-her-bangs-and-toggle-coats-and-bread-for-the-birds.

hate you.

(kicks empty starbucks cup and wipes desk clear of new york times.)

i can't just "get there." one of has to support this growing family.

also: bourdain was in vancouver last night. please?????? can we? tojo's! prettiness! safe haven country! it'd be, like, a (swallows) compromise.

Your life simply can't actually be like that. It's not possible.
